Eco Fashion Week Africa continues to strengthen its position as one of the most eco friendly fashion platforms in Africa and beyond through its collaboration with Circular Sustainable Fashion Week Madrid.
This milestone marks an important step in bringing African sustainable fashion, circular fashion systems, and ethical design practices to a global stage. As conversations around climate change, textile waste, and responsible production continue to shape the future of fashion, Africa’s long standing practices are becoming increasingly relevant worldwide.
This season, selected designers who showcased during Eco Fashion Week Africa Season 3 will present their collections in Madrid. These designers represent a growing movement rooted in upcycling, slow fashion, and sustainable material use, offering solutions to one of the fashion industry’s most urgent challenges: textile waste.
Brands such as KB Upcycling and Green Amba, among others, will take to the runway with collections that reflect craftsmanship, reuse, and intentional design. Their work highlights the strength of Africa’s circular fashion ecosystem and its ability to lead in sustainable innovation.
QKOMPANY LLC
This collaboration has been made possible through the support of QKompany LLC, whose role has been instrumental in bridging production, coordination, and international collaboration. QKompany continues to play a key role in strengthening Eco Fashion Week Africa’s global footprint and has now become a strategic partner in upcoming projects, including the development of Season 4.
At its core, Eco Fashion Week Africa remains committed to advancing:
Circular fashion systems
Textile waste reduction
Ethical labour and local production
Sustainable fashion innovation
Climate conscious fashion practices
The platform’s “No New Clothes” runway continues to challenge conventional fashion systems by promoting reuse, upcycling, and mindful consumption. This approach positions EFWA as not only a fashion event, but as a leading voice in the global sustainable fashion movement.
Participation in CSFW Madrid reflects a broader shift within the industry. Africa is not catching up to global fashion systems, but rather the world is beginning to align with practices that have long been embedded within African communities. From material reuse to artisan craftsmanship, these systems are now recognised as essential to building a more sustainable future.
As Eco Fashion Week Africa expands internationally, preparations for Season 4 are already underway. With increasing global interest, stronger partnerships, and a growing community of designers committed to sustainability, the upcoming season is set to further elevate Africa’s position in the global fashion landscape.
Designer applications for Season 4 are currently open and will be closing soon. Early applications allow for deeper collaboration, stronger storytelling, and a more refined showcase of Africa’s most innovative sustainable designers.
